Server Related Command Line Utilities and Startup Parameters

This appendix describes the following utilities and parameters that you use to configure, manage, start, and stop the DataServer host and client.

Progress Explorer command line utilities allow you to start, stop, and configure installed ODBC components. See the OpenEdge Getting Started: Installation and Configuration for additional information about the utilities and their role and relationship to other system administration facilities.
Startup commands and parameters for UNIX and Windows allow you to start and manage DataServer clients. See the OpenEdge Deployment: Startup Command and Parameter Reference for additional information about syntax and usage.
